What drives the cost
Letter height — The bigger the letters, the more material, more LED modules, and more labor. A 12-inch letter is roughly 3× the cost of a 6-inch letter, not 2×.
Letter depth (returns) — Standard depth is 2–3 inches. Deep returns (4–6 inches) for premium signs cost ~25% more.
Acrylic thickness & quality — 3 mm vs 5 mm vs 8 mm cast acrylic. Cast (not extruded) is the premium choice for crisp edges and UV stability.
Return material — Aluminum (cheaper) vs stainless steel (premium, weather-rated, ~30% more).
Lighting — Standard frontlit LED is included. Halo-lit (back-lit) adds 25–40%. RGB color-changing adds 15–25%.
Mounting — Direct wall mount (cheapest) vs raceway-mount (cleaner, premium) vs stand-off mount (most premium).
